John provides a fantastic balance of background knowledge, skills, experience and training that make him a great consultant for our projects. Nothing phases John and he is very in-tune with what is needed on a project - even if that need is not yet known, or obvious! I would highly recommend John if you are looking to give your medical communications an edge.

I certainly wasn't expecting the course to be as helpful as it was. I hadn't had any guidance on writing really, other than forming an argument and structure, but this course covered everything from grammar to issues with co-authorship, and the role of a journal editor to active and passive sentences. It really was great.

This was a very good course. I am sure that the participants regardless of background and experience found it very useful with immediately applicable tips and advice how to improve their scientific writing. There was a good mix of examples and exercises. I wish I had been offered a course like this when I was a PhD student it would have saved me quite some agony!

Dr John Dixon is very experienced. The lecture was great, really dynamic, nice slides.

It was really interesting to learn the Do and Don't for writing a good scientific grant. I especially appreciated the practical part, when discussing the examples of abstracts.

Thank you so much for all your tips and very good presentation! There were only a few courses in my life that I enjoyed completely from the beginning until the end, and this was one of those!

All good!

All the aspects of the course were useful.

I thought the course was run very well. I particularly enjoyed the exercise where we were required to do a minute presentation on our trip home in order to focus primarily on the delivery rather than the presentation content.

John was a very good trainer, explained everything well and made sure we understood everything before moving on. Really described medical writing and reaffirmed why I’m interested in this career path! The size of class was very good and gave everyone a chance to participate. Equally, no one was forced to participate if they weren’t comfortable.
